Today's Show Has Been Cancelled
Due to several conflicts in all of our schedules, today's Pray for the Hostages program that was scheduled for 3 pm eastern has had to be cancelled. We will let you know when the next hour long show will be, but as always, please join us Monday - Friday at 12 noon eastern for our daily prayer segment.
God is Good, and we pray to Him for the safe return of all those held against their will!
Pastor Ed

Hostage News Updates 11/11/08
Here are links to some of the stories we have discussed recently on the radio show, as well as the latest updates on the hostages we are praying for:
****Great news! The 10 French oil workers kidnapped in Cameroon have been freed!****
This is a video of Canadian journalist Melissa Fung, who was recently rescued in Afghanistan. She describes her month-long captivity here.
This article describes the war by Nigeria's insurgents against that country's oil industry, including the kidnapping of foreign oil workers, and the implications for companies wanting to work in Iraq.
Nigerian militants say four hostages released
Somali bandits kidnap two nuns in Kenya
Kidnapped aid workers moved to new location

Our First One-Hour Show is Saturday
Our new weekly show where we will do some additional things that we don't have the time to do in our daily 15 minute broadcast. The show will be at 3:00 pm eastern time and you can click this link to go listen live.
Here are some of the items we will be discussing.
Training on prayer
Some folks may not know how to pray for issues such as this. We will share with you how you can pray and make a difference.
In-depth updates
Looking back at the most recent updates and results of situations that have ended.
Personal stories of the hostages that we know about.
Most on our list are people we know very little about outside of the fact that they are being held against their will. However, we do have some very specific information on some on our list that we would like you to know about.
Also, don't forget to check the archives for our daily shows. While most of these shows are pretty close to the same, there are some specific updates on nearly every show. Click this link to get to the list of archived shows.

1st BTR Prayer Show is Available to You Online
The first Pray for the Hostages program is now available for you to listen to online. You can go to http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Pray-4-the-Hostages to hear our initial broadcast.
There are some kinks for us to work on, but we accomplished most of what we wanted.
I also wanted to help those of you who may be new to Blog Talk Radio. When you click the link above you can go there and listen live, or if it is not during the show time you can choose from all of the archives available.
To get the most out of BTR and our show, you should register with BTR. By doing this, you can participate in the chat room, make comments, receive automatic notifications of the next show, etc. This is a totally free site, and I encourage you to make the most of your time while you listen.
If you are there during the live show, but will need to click on the orange "Click to Listen" box. Sometimes if you experience audio problems, as in no audio, a simple refresh will solve the problem.
As mentioned before, you may also listen in or participate in the on air dialogue by calling: 646-200-3329.
Join us each day at 12 noon eastern time --- I believe you will be blessed by participating.
Pastor Ed Boston
PS. Go listen to the archive of today's show and know that things will only get better from here.
